H.R. 3648 - Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007 was signed into law on December 20, 2007 by President Bush. This law allowed the IRS to change a tax code offering tax relief to primary residence homeowners in the event they lose their homes in foreclosure or have to do a short sale until 2010. |
